As the Producing Intern at The Muny during its 105th season, I had the privilege of working closely with the Artistic Director/Executive Producer and Associate Artistic Director to support the administrative and creative operations of this historic theatre. My role involved managing clerical projects, coordinating information flow across production departments, and ensuring day-to-day tasks in a fast-paced environment were handled efficiently. I took pride in preparing opening night gifts, which included coordinating donations to nonprofits aligned with each show's themes and creating personalized thank-you cards—a meaningful way to honor the casts and the stories being told.
In addition to these responsibilities, I was deeply involved in the logistics of the season, from organizing and distributing comp tickets to assisting with tech rehearsals by managing coffee orders and ensuring everyone’s needs were met. Each day brought unique challenges, whether it was preparing to-do lists for leadership, troubleshooting last-minute issues, or balancing outdoor tasks with the demands of the office. This experience not only honed my organizational and interpersonal skills but also deepened my appreciation for the collaborative effort required to produce world-class theatre. Being part of The Muny’s legacy during such an exciting season was both a rewarding and unforgettable experience.
